Abstract

Introduction

The contamination of livestock feed and poultry with toxic fungi, such as aspergillus in the air and the environment, is especially important. these fungi produce mycotoxins such as aflatoxin that can interfere with livestock and poultry health, and people who use livestock products. with regard to biological and medical importance of toxigenic fungi, the molecular identification of these species is a necessary condition for conducting studies on them. materials and method: in this study, samples from livestock and poultry farms in around khorramabad city collect, direct examination and culture isolates were done on pda. pcr were performed using a specific asap1 primer and 521 bp fragment was obtained, after the sequencing of fungal species were identified.

Methods

In this study, samples from livestock and poultry farms in around khorramabad city collect, direct examination and culture isolates were done on pda. pcr were performed using a specific asap1 primer and 521 bp fragment was obtained, after the sequencing of fungal species were identified.

Results

Out of 23 isolates sequenced, 11 isolates as aspergillus flavus, 8 isolates of aspergillus niger, 3 isolates of aspergillus fumigatus and 1 isolate of aspergillus oryzae were identified. with confirmation of molecular findings, 47.8% of them were fungus-causing toxins aspergillus flavus.

Conclusion

Considering the high level of contamination of livestock to aspergillus flavus, the most important species in the production of aflatoxin and the direct effect of aflatoxin on the health of livestock and livestock products and use of products by humans, serious threat to public health. so control of contamination of livestock feed to fungi, is the best way to prevent aflatoxin contamination and promote community health that requires serious planning.
