Abstract
Introduction
Cartilage tissue engineering is used as a potential solution for replacing or repairing damaged tissue. in this method, using electronically nanofibruos and providing space like the three-dimensional cell space, the cell provides field growth. the purpose of this study was to not use the growth factor on a nonfilter bed of polyvinyl alcohol and alginate sulfate polymers using electron microscopy in laboratory conditions.
Methods
In this study, scaffolds were prepared by electrospinning method using polyvinyl alcohol/alginate sulfate polymer. to evaluate the biocompatibility and proliferation of cells, mesenchymal stem cells were cultured for 72 hours using mtt assay and sem tests were done for determining of presence of cells on scaffolds.
Results
The results of electron microscopy and optical spectrometry measurements showed that polyvinyl alcohol /sulfate alginate polymer scaffold. the results of biocompatibility test showed that the cells had good proliferation and adhesion properties on the scaffold surface.
Conclusion
the polyvinyl alcohol /alginate sulfate scaffold supports the growth of mesenchymal cells and can not be considered appropriate in cartilage tissue engineering.
